Christian Owens

Hi there!

Khilah Owens
Executive Director of Learning & Impact
I was born & raised in Columbus, OH. I am a sister of 3 beautiful sisters. I enjoy tutoring, baking, swimming, helping develop kids, babysitting and just being able to help kids in a academic environment .
I have been working with kids all my life. I’ve worked at licking heights elementary since I was 18 years old & have always had a passion for children.
My favorite part with working with kids is watching them evolve . I call it “The ahhh moment", when you continually go over things with a young scholar and their struggle with it then all of a sudden one day the light bulb goes off and they finally get it. That’s what I do it for. I’m very aware everyone doesn’t learn or understand the same but that doesn’t mean you count them out . All it means is you change the way you teach it , give a little patience and show every child grace until they have their “ahhh moment".

I am a passionate preschool educator at Fruitful Trees Learning Center and the Director of the Fruitful Trees Learning Center Summer Camp, where I am dedicated to creating a nurturing, engaging, and structured environment that supports children’s growth both academically and socially.
Working with children allows me to combine creativity, leadership, and care while helping young learners build confidence and strong foundational skills. Outside of the classroom, I coached varsity volleyball at Olentangy High school, an experience that has strengthened my ability to motivate, mentor, and lead with discipline, teamwork, and purpose.
I am also the owner of Indispensable Co., where I serve as a personal stylist and provide event planning and event decorating services—allowing me to express my creativity, vision, and attention to detail in meaningful and impactful ways.
I have developed a strong passion for boxing, which has enhanced my focus, resilience, and commitment to personal growth. In my free time, I enjoy traveling internationally with family and friends, exploring new cultures, and relaxing by watching new TV shows. I take pride in being well-rounded, driven, and continuously striving to grow both personally and professionally.
